BrightPath

BrightPath helps people with low vision — and the families who support them — understand today’s assistive technology and make it work in everyday life.

Clear, human guidance for navigating low vision and assistive technology

Why BrightPath Exists

Too often, people diagnosed with low vision are given very little practical help beyond clinical care.  Families spend significant time and money on consultations, only to be offered outdated tools or minimal direction on how to adapt daily life.

At the same time, modern technology, from accessibility features on everyday devices to new AI-powered tools, has advanced quickly. Unfortunately, the information is fragmented, marketing-driven, and difficult to evaluate, especially for people who are already overwhelmed.

BrightPath exists to bridge that gap: helping people understand what’s available, what’s realistic, and what actually fits into their lives.

Who BrightPath Is For

BrightPath is for:

  • People with early to moderate vision loss, including macular degeneration

  • Individuals who still see, but experience fatigue, blur, or central vision loss

  • Adult children and caregivers helping a parent navigate unfamiliar technology

  • Anyone overwhelmed by marketing claims, unclear product fit or underwhelmed by what traditional low-vision services often provide

You don’t need to be “tech savvy.” You just need support that meets you where you are.

BrightPath is designed for people who want calm, practical guidance—not sales pitches or one-size-fits-all solutions.

What We Do

BrightPath provides independent guidance to help people with low vision use today’s tools more confidently and effectively.

We focus on understanding your environment, routines, and comfort level first—then helping you set up and learn technologies that support daily life, such as communication, reading, navigation, and organization.

We don’t sell devices. We help you decide what’s worth your time and effort.

How We Think About Technology

Learning works best in familiar environments, at a comfortable pace, and with examples that relate directly to everyday life.

BrightPath approaches technology as a support tool—not something to master all at once. We focus on small, meaningful improvements that build confidence over time.

The goal isn’t to “keep up.”

The goal is to stay independent, connected, and comfortable.
